- Holding Out For a Hero – Bonnie Tyler: Patrice Bergeron - Simply because he’s a flawless individual.
- Party Up in Here – DMX: Gregory Campbell - I have no idea why I’ve always associated this song with him. Maybe because I heard he enjoyed rap and then there was this one game where he was fighting and that song was playing at the Garden. It just all fit together so perfectly.
- When You’re Smiling – Louis Armstrong: Nathan Horton - Do I need to explain my reasoning for this one?
- Paint It Black – The Rolling Stones: Chris Kelly - I don’t know how to explain this one. Maybe the whole idea of moving from the Sens to the Bruins. It’s like he himself is being “painted black.” I just think the Stones fit Chris Kelly.
- Smooth Criminal – Alien Ant Farm: David Krejci - Because motherfucker he is the smoothest criminal. Chose this one because after he scores I can just hear YOU’VE BEEN HIT BY, YOU’VE BEEN STRUCK BY…A SMOOTH CRIMINAL.
- Critical Acclaim – Avenged Sevenfold: Milan Lucic - This is definitely a heavier song. But those opening lyrics suit him. “Shh, be quiet you might piss somebody off, like me motherfucker you’ve been at it for too long.”
- Shoot to Thrill – AC/DC: Brad Marchand - Obviously when I hear “shoot” to the thrill I think of scoring goals! And when I think of scoring goals, I think of our Little Ball of Hate.
- Iron Man – Black Sabbath: Daniel Paille - Oh my god could this suit him any better?
- Built for Speed – The Stray Cats: Rich Peverley - Another one that’s pretty self explanatory. I like the rockabilly sound of The Stray Cats a lot. Also the contrast between Iron Man and this. I wanted to really change it up.
- I Can See Clearly Now – Johnny Nash: Benoit Pouliot - Think Habs -> Bruins and tell me you aren’t laughing or at least smirking.
- Kickstart My Heart – Motley Crue: Tyler Seguin - I picked this song for him because it’s fast and fun. It could represent that he’s a heartthrob to so many or the adrenaline rush, heart-thumping feeling you get while watching him play.
- The Game – Motorhead: Shawn Thornton - This song is perfect for him. “I am the game, you don’t wanna play me. I am control, no way you can change me. I am heavy debt, no way you can pay me. I am the pain and I know you can’t take me.”
- Oh Johnny – Andrews Sisters: Johnny Boychuk - Another much lighter song. I love it.
- Walk – Pantera: Zdeno Chara - “Run your mouth when I’m not around. It’s easy to achieve.” Kinda like when our guys get chirped and the minute Chara steps in everyone leaves our boys alone? This song was one of the better fits.
- What I’ve Done - Linkin Park: Joe Corvo - It wasn’t east picking a song for Joe. But when I found this, I knew I had to use it.
- One Day – Matisyahu: Andrew Ference - Self explanatory. A happy, relaxing song that puts a smile on your face. Kinda like Ference.
- Break Stuff – Limp Bizkit: Adam McQuaid - Ever notice how absolutely psychotic Adam looks during his fights? Or when he’s chirping? He’s big and scary and so is this song.
- Warrior – Disturbed: Dennis Seidenberg - Our German engineered blueliner is absolutely a warrior. It was really hard trying to find a song for him though, I must admit.
- Enter the Ninja – Die Antwoord: Tuukka Rask - I don’t know what it is about this song that just screams Tuukka to me. It’s weird and he’s weird. And he’s a goalie so that’s kind of like a ninja. This song just fucking rules and so does he.
- Walk – Foo Fighters: Tim Thomas – And of course, last but not least. It’s Timmy’s story. Plain and simple.
